The Kelowna RCMP are still on the hunt for a suspect in a serious assault that took place earlier in October.
On Oct. 12, shortly before midnight, police received report of a woman being assaulted by an unknown man while walking in the area of Elliot Avenue and Richter Street.
The suspect allegedly chased after the woman, tackled her to the ground and then dragged her onto a residential property.
She persevered, however, and managed to free herself from the attacker, running away and flagging down a passing motorist.
“Since the incident, a specially trained forensic artist travelled to the BC interior to meet personally with the victim at the Kelowna RCMP Detachment,” ssaid Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.
“Working with our witness in a cognitive interview setting, the artist created a composite sketch of the assault suspect.”
According to the RCMP, the suspect is described as a Caucasian, but possible part Filipino, in his early 20s and a medium build, with shoulder length brown and black hair.
He was seen wearing all black or dark coloured clothing and was also riding a skateboard, which was located nearby after the attack and seized by police.
Anyone with information is asked to come forward to police, either by calling the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
