A cyclist was rescued from Myra Canyon Park on Sunday.
The fire department was told about 1 pm that the cyclist had fallen from a mountain bike.
A fire engine, command vehicle and ATV were sent to rescue the cyclist.
Platoon Captain John Kelly said that, after reaching the cyclist on foot, it was determined that the ATV would be necessary to effect a rescue.
“The patient was assessed, treated, packaged and then transported from the trail to a waiting ambulance,” Kelly explained.
The fire department did not provide information about the cyclist's condition.
