DunnEnzies Pizza is doing what it can for the Olympia Tavern community after the restaurant was destroyed by a fire on Wednesday.
According to Brittany Guger, the manager of DunnEnzies Pizza in Landmark, the local chain is offering employment to all Olympia staff until the restaurant is back up and running.
Guger mentioned that the Olympia may not reopen for at least a year so offering the community help felt like the right thing to do.
"I am part of this pizza appreciation page and there was a post about our fallen Brothers at Olympia," said Guger. "A person had commented thanking everyone. I responded by saying my store, and the other locations are looking for staff, and we can offer them temporary employment till whenever their store is ready. He said it would be at least a year."
DunnEnzies has four locations, which are located downtown, in the Landmark buildings, in Mission, and by the airport. Olympia staff will be given the option to work at the location of their choosing.
At this point, only one worker from the Olympia has inquired about the offer. Guger believes it must be an interesting time for those affected as some have been with the Olympia for 12 years or more.
"As for right now, I've received one call. He's coming in Tuesday to chat with me. Asked him to send me a resume and he said he's never had to make one because he's always worked at Olympia for 12 years now."
