(Update 3:45 pm) - Multiple 911 calls prompted a dynamic police response in downtown Kelowna on Monday afternoon.
Just before 2 pm, reports of a man carrying what police have described as a "sawed off long barreled firearm wrapped in fabric" were called in from the area of Bernard Avenue and Mill Street.
“Concerned for public and police safety, multiple front line officers descended on Kerry Park where they took multiple individuals into custody, without incident, during a dynamic high risk arrest,” states Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey of the Kelowna RCMP.

Following the incident, police confirmed that the man was in fact carrying an item that had been altered to resemble a weapon.
Multiple individuals were apprehended by officers, however, only one man remains in custody at this time.
(Original Story) - A heavy police presence was observed in Kelowna on Monday afternoon.
Around 2 pm, four police vehicles were spotted apprehending two suspects at the corner of Bernard Avenue and Mill Street near Kerry Park around 2 pm.

At approximately 1:45 pm, a KelownaNow reader reported witnessing three police vehicles in pursuit of a speeding car down Water Street.
