Kelowna International Airport (YLW) is anticipating huge crowds in the coming weeks.
Recently named the 10th busiest airport in Canada, YLW says more than 100,000 passengers are expected to pass through its gates over the next three weeks due to spring break in provincial high schools.
Airport officials are offering some tips to passengers in the hopes of reducing travel-related stress:
Parking at YLW is expected to reach full capacity during this peak period. People travelling during this period should consider alternative transportation to the airport, such as taxi and limousine services, airport shuttles, public transit or having a friend drop them off.
YLW officials also remind travellers to always check arrival and departure times before leaving to the airport.
