The Rockets Alumni Foundation will wind up and follow through with their Alumni Foundation Annual Golf Tournament for the 17th year, teeing off for charity on Saturday.
The tournament will feature a wide range of players returning to Kelowna for another year - ranging from the skaters in the early days of Tacoma to the many recent past stars of the Kelowna Rockets - swinging on the crisp course at Black Mountain Golf Club.
In previous years the former WHL players would take to the fairway to fundraise for the Kelowna General Hospital, raising over $350,000 for the KGH.
2015 marked a new chapter for the Rockets Alumni as a group when they became an official foundation and began targeting the Canucks Autism Network as their new charity of choice.
Money raised will remain in Kelowna affording children with autism access to hockey programs.
