UPDATE: The stolen kissing booth used to raise funds for service dogs has been found

(UPDATE: Sept. 16 @ 5:05 p.m.) - The handmade kissing booth that was stolen last night has been found.

PADS puppy-in-training got to pick up the undamaged kissing booth after Good Samaritan Conny Riemer noticed it in the parking lot of her work. Riemer recognized the red box and quickly got a coworker to move it inside while she got in touch with PADS Okanagan.

The kissing booth will once again be used at volunteer events for PADS to help train service dogs for wheelchair assistance.

Special thanks to everyone who kept an eye out for the stolen item!

(Original story Sept. 16 @ 8:24 a.m.) A handmade kissing booth belonging to Barkley’s Muttland was stolen last night, and now there’s a call out to the public to have it returned.

The kissing booth is used at Pacific Assistance Dog Society (PADS) events, and is one of their most popular attractions, not to mention it helps them to raise funds for PADS, who train service dogs for wheelchair assistance.

Alli Sandberg, who helped make the booth with a friend of hers at Barkley’s Muttland, is asking for the booth to be returned to its rightful owner after it was taken from her vehicle in Rutland.

“To the person who felt the need to steal this out of my vehicle in Rutland, you suck,” she wrote in a Facebook post on behalf of the organization.

“I don’t care who did it or why, but please give your head a shake and return it to where you got it or to Barkley’s Muttland where it belongs.”

Sandberg added that a $200 reward is being offered by Rob at Performance Plus Automotive for its return, and “a cool guy named Beau” is making them a new booth, as he felt it was a good cause.
