On May 31st, the Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) kicked off in Winnipeg, where trade and technology students competed for national titles.
Three Okanagan College students attended the competition after winning gold medals in April at the Skills Canada BC Provincial Competition in Abbotsford.
Each returned home with bronze medals, thanks to the help of coaches and instructors at Okanagan College.
Brendan Battersby, a recent graduate from the Network and Telecommunications Engineering Technology program, placed third in the IT Network Admin competition.
Andreas Roth, a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Body Repairer apprentice, took home his bronze medal after competing in the Autobody competition.
Siobhan Detkavish is currently completing her Level 2 Professional Cook apprenticeship, and placed third in the Cooking competition.
