For the first time in Professional Bull Riding (PBR) Canadian league history, the Monster Energy Tour will conquer Kelowna’s Prospera Place with the most exciting eight-seconds in sport with the Okanagan PBR challenge.
The world’s best riders from the nation, as well as the international elite, will test their skills on the back of nation’s wildest and rowdiest bulls on July 7 at 7 p.m.
Prospera place will consume almost 550 tonnes of dirt and enough steel to cover the length of six football fields in anticipation of the event.
Each rider will take to the dirt for round one, in hopes that their eight-seconds on the bucking bull will add them to the top 10 list. Those select riders will take mount a bull for the second round to outlast their opponents for the top seed and take home the title.
Winners have the chance to walk away with a piece of the collective $20,000 in prize money and earn world points which could determine if they compete in the 25th PBR: Unleash the Beast.
British Columbia products, Jake Gardner (Dawson Creek, B.C.), Jackson Scott (Kamloops, B.C.) and Greg Loring Jr. (Merritt, B.C.) will be in attendance as well as Zane Lambert, Alberta native and 2017 PBR Canada champion, to take their turns on the backs of the 2,000-lb bovine superstars present at the competition.
Tickets can be purchased here. For more information visit the PBR website.
