A GoFundMe set up for a two-year-old Kelowna girl who’s battling cancer in Vancouver raised over $15,000 and the fundraising will continue in a tasty way this weekend.
MATCH Eatery & Public House is hosting a pancake breakfast to raise money for Kacey Gulbransen, who was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in July.
The breakfast will take place at MATCH, located inside the Playtime Casino in Kelowna, from 8 am until 11 am on Saturday, Sept. 7.
It will be by donation, with 100% of the proceeds going to Kacey and her family.
Rhabdomyosarcoma is a fast-spreading sarcoma that starts in the soft tissue and expands to the bones, if it spreads.
Kacey has been in Vancouver for treatment for the past few weeks and is awaiting a surgery date for doctors to try and remove the tumour, which is close to her bladder.
It’s expected she’ll be in Vancouver for the next year.
