RCMP investigating after Kelowna home targeted in shooting

Mounties are investigating a shooting at a Kelowna home last night.

They were called just before 11 pm about a report of gunshots in the 800 block of Kiniski Road.

“Frontline officers immediately attended the area and located evidence of gunfire that targeted a specific residence,” said Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy.

“The residence was occupied by six adults.”

She added: “Fortunately, no one was injured.”

Police said an “extensive search” of the area concluded without any suspects being located.

Officers remain at the scene to collect evidence and speak to witnesses.

Anyone with information, or with surveillance footage of the area, is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300, or remain anonymous by calling CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
