One of Canada’s hottest rising acts will perform in Kelowna on Tuesday night.
Fresh off being nominated for a Polaris Prize, Snotty Noze Rez Kids will hit the stage at the Rotary Centre for the Arts beginning at 7 pm.
As part of the On Root Project and UBC Okanagan’s Summer Indigenous Art Intensive, the unique show will include a live performance alongside storytelling and conversation centered around the theme of Indigenous rights.
After seeing the hip-hop group perform in Kelowna during Breakout West last fall, organizers were excited to bring the duo back to the city.
“It was a coincidence, but their new album ‘trapline’ was in alignment with themes of the Summer Indigenous Art Intensive at UBCO; responsibility to protect the land, the sea, and all that live within for future generations,” said co-presenter Chelsea Robinson of the On Root Project.
