(UPDATE: Nov. 23 @ 4:05 pm) – A water quality advisory that was in place for a few properties on Hawk Road has now been removed.
The advisory was put in place for eight properties on the Falcon Ridge water system so three new properties could be connected to the system.
Since work was completed on the Nov. 16, the impacted portion of the system has been flushed and treated to ensure the water is within Canadian guidelines.
(Original story: Nov. 9 @ 2:41 pm) – People connected to the Falcon Ridge water system in the upper mission are being advised of a limited water service interruption.
Starting at 8 am on Nov. 10, properties from 7411 to 7481 Hawk Road will be without water during the morning.
The water is being shut off so three new properties can be connected to the water system.
The Regional District of Central Okanagan says crews will work to restore water service as quickly as possible.
Once the work is completed, the affected properties will be on a water quality advisory until tests confirm the water is acceptable for drinking.
Residents are asked to shut off hot and cold faucets and any equipment that requires water during the service disruption.
People should also store a bit of extra water for the morning for drinking, washing hands and flushing toilets.
The RDCO advises people to isolate the supply to their hot water tanks to avoid any impurities being drawn into the tank.
