The annual New Year’s Eve celebrations will be quite different from the past years with many events either cancelled or virtual.
Although options are very limited, here are a few ways you can celebrate New Year’s Eve from the comfort of your home and still be involved.
The infamous Times Square New Year’s Eve event has been closed off to the public for in-person participation, but will provide live entertainment online.
It will follow the typical schedule with numerous musical performances from Andra Day, Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez, Machine Gun Kelly, and more.
‘Heroes of 2020’ will be featured as special guests and speakers to celebrate the whirlwind of a year the world experienced.
The event begins at 6 pm and once the clock strikes 11:59 pm, the annual 60 second ball drop will begin.
The event can be seen on a commercial free webcast or TV, both free of cost.
Join thousands of people across the world in the 24 hour livestream event Worldwide New Year’s Eve 2021, presented by Boonoob.
The online party will feature 24 hours of live music and entertainment by DJ’s and celebrities, as well as giveaways and contests with great prizes.
24 time-zones will be featured along with 24 live ball drops for regions across the globe to celebrate.
One of the most unique features of the event is the opportunity to socialize with people in live chat rooms, dance rooms, games rooms and more!
10% of ticket sales will go to charity with tickets averaging at $9 to $15.
Kelowna’s CRAFT Beer Market is offering a virtual New Year’s Eve Brewmasters Dinner which includes a four-course dinner and virtual tasting session.
Select a kit of four courses to be paired with regional beer (four beers) or wine (two half bottles) and tune in via Zoom at 7:30 pm for the event.
The kits will be available to pick-up at the restaurant between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm on Dec. 31 and come with a complimentary 200ml bottle of bubbly for midnight.
Tickets are $65 to $80 for the kit and event.
