Kelowna patio guide: 18 patios in the Mission to enjoy on a sunny day

Aimed to help both residents and tourists who are looking for new spots to eat and drink outdoors this summer, our patio guide will come in seven parts (each a different neighbourhood) between May 13-19.

These stories will just give you the tip of the iceberg when it comes to patios in a certain area, as we can’t highlight them all, but it gives you a starting point that will surely lead you to other great outdoor spots nearby!



One of the many perks of living in Kelowna's Mission is that it is full of patios to enjoy during the summer months.

Whether you're wanting to stop by a winery, brewery, family-friendly restaurant or sports bar, the Mission has it all.

Here are 16 spots we think you should check out.


Basil & Mint

3799 Lakeshore Rd.

  • Basil & Mint has a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Located down the road from Rotary Beach Park, it's a great place to catch up with friends over dinner after a refreshing swim in the sun.
  • They offer local and global plates, assorted cocktails, wine and beer, and they open at 5 pm Tuesdays through Sundays.

Brookside Grill

1085 Lexington Dr.

  • Located at Michaelbrook Golf, Brookside Grill has a gorgeous patio that seats 70 guests, and they have bike racks located next to it, which is great for keeping an eye on your expensive bike.
  • They are dog-friendly, with water bowls and treats, and they open every day at 11:30 am.

Bunk House Desi Junction Bar & Pizza

2777 KLO Rd.

  • Bunk House Desi Junction Bar & Pizza is located on the same property as Orchard Greens Golf Club, a nine-hole, mid-length course.
  • The restaurant features delicious Indian food, cocktails and eight beers on tap. They open at 11 am Mondays through Saturdays, and noon on Sundays.

The Canadian Brewhouse and Grill

3030 Pandosy St.

  • The Canadian Brewhouse and Grill is dog-friendly and they have heaters, umbrellas and TVs, as well as daily specials on their full menu.
  • It is open Mondays through Thursdays from 11:30 am to midnight, Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 am to 1 am, and Sundays from 11 am to midnight.

Creekside Pub

3929 Lakeshore Rd.

  • Creekside Pub has Wing Wednesdays, Trivia Fridays and Karaoke Saturdays, and they have breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 12 pm.
  • Open seven days a week from 11 am to late, Creekside has all the pub classics with burgers, nachos and pizza, including some gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Specialty coffee, cocktails, martinis, ciders, coolers, seltzers, wine and beer are featured on their drink menu.

DunnEnzies Pizza Mission

4638 Lakeshore Rd.

  • With a fully expanded menu, daily specials, fabulous cocktails and a back-yard style patio perfect for gathering friends and family, you'll certainly enjoy yourself at the DunnEnzies in the Mission.
  • This spot is the fourth DunnEnzies location, although one of the first three has since closed, and is well known for hosting live music and events on a regular basis. They also have happy hour every day from 3 to 5 pm and 9 pm to close.

Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria

105-3030 Pandosy St.

  • Famoso in SOPA square has a fun and lively atmosphere with energetic staff and two patios, providing a space for guests to relax with their friends and family any day of the week.
  • There are plenty of choices on the menu, including Neapolitan pizzas to new world pizzas, artisan pastas, craft beers and cocktails. They open every day at noon.

Home Block at CedarCreek Estate Winery

5445 Lakeshore Rd.

  • While embracing the bounty of the Okanagan Valley, Chef Neil Taylor prepares his menu with a wine-first philosophy, creating rustic, memorable dishes.
  • The restaurant offers a two-course wine-paired lunch, a three-course wine-paired dinner and a five-course library experience built around their platinum collection of wines, which are all are available to book in advance. Home Block opens every day at noon.

Hugo’s Mexican Kitchen

3499 Lakeshore Rd.

  • Hugo's Mexican Kitchen has four locations throughout BC, with their newest spot in Kelowna across from Boyce-Gyro Beach Park.
  • With its unique space and authentic menu, Hugo's will make you feel as if you're on vacation in Mexico. They use all local and fresh ingredients, with everything made from scratch. With vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options, there is something for every dietary need. Plus they have delicious alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. It opens every day at noon.

Kettle Valley Pub on Main Bar & Grill

#100 5305 Main St.

  • This family-friendly restaurant, owned by two Kelowna couples, is an excellent place to grab dinner and drinks, especially on game nights.
  • Their menu features weekly specials and tasty classics including tacos, wings, waffle fries, burgers, ribs, and fish and chips. They open at 4 pm Tuesdays through Sundays.

Lakeside Dining Room

2-500 Cook Rd.

  • There's something special about enjoying a delicious meal and refreshing drink with your loved ones along a waterfront boardwalk on a beautiful summer day.
  • Lakeside Dining Room has a mouthwatering food menu featuring charcuterie, flatbreads, seafood, burgers and more. In addition, they have a full wine and whisky list, and several mocktails to sip on. They are open at 11 am Mondays through Saturdays and 2 pm on Sundays, with a happy hour from 3 to 5 pm daily.

Maestro’s Mediterranean Restaurant and Terrace

3762 Lakeshore Rd.

  • Located along Okanagan Lake and down the street from Rotary Beach, Maestro's at Manteo is the new restaurant where SmackDab used to be.
  • Featuring a curated selection of sea-inspired dishes, local vegetables and generous usages of oils, spices and grains, Maestro's is inspired by the likes of Valencia, Genoa, Split and Nice. Their drink menu includes warm beverages, cocktails, wine, beer, cider and non-alcoholic options. It is open daily from noon to 9 pm, with happy hour from 3 to 5 pm.

Masa’s Grill at The Harvest Golf Club

2725 KLO Rd.

  • Whether you've worked up an appetite on the course, you're celebrating a special milestone or simply wish to enjoy some great food and stunning views, Masa's Grill is an excellent place to go. They have delicious specials including Friday night prime rib, Saturday night chef's feature plate, Sunday a-la-carte brunch and Sunday pasta night.
  • The casual fine dining restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with hours from 6 am to 8 pm.

McCulloch Station Pub

2789 KLO Rd.

  • McCulloch Station Pub was designed and built by Jim Nixon at the present location in 1985. To ensure it had a local theme, Nixon held a contest to name it, and McCulloch Station was selected in honour of Mr. Andrew McCulloch, an engineer for the Kettle Valley Railway.
  • From long lunches, post-work drinks and special dinners, the adults-only pub has a menu that can serve up whatever you're in the mood for. They also have cold draught beer and an extensive drinks menu featuring wine, craft beer, cocktails, spirits and liquors.

Original Joe’s

2728 Pandosy St.

  • Original Joe's is the place for everyone. With burgers, bowls, poutine, onion rings and more, this lively yet relaxed space is a great spot to enjoy some sun with loved ones. On their bar menu, they offer margaritas, aperol spritz, caesars, beers, local wines and non-alcoholic options. Plus, they have deals every day and happy hour from 2 to 5 pm and 9 pm to close.
  • This restaurant and bar is opens at 11 am daily.

Shore Line Brewing

#116 3477 Lakeshore Rd.

  • Shore Line Brewing is a hot spot located right across from Boyce-Gyro Beach Park. In addition to having great craft beer, a stunning view and large patio, Shore Line offers tasty comfort food that can fix any craving. With sandwiches, pizza, seafood and tacos, along with plant-based and gluten free options, there's something for everyone. Those who want to sip on something other than beer can enjoy local wine, cocktails, cider and non-alcoholic drinks.
  • They open at noon every day, with happy hour from 3 to 5 pm Mondays through Thursdays, and they're are dog-friendly.

Sunset Organic Bistro

4870 Chute Lake Rd.

  • Located at Summerhill Pyramid Winery, this bistro has expansive views of Okanagan Lake and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you want to impress your guests from out of town or take in the beautiful scenery in the place you call home, Sunset Organic Bistro is the place to go.
  • There is a wide variety of vegan food and drink options, as well as tasty meat and seafood dishes. The bistro opens every day at 10 am.

T-One Asian Fusion Restaurant

#100 3477 Lakeshore Rd.

  • Located across from Boyce-Gyro Beach Park, T-One has been nestled in the Kelowna area since 2020. The cozy establishment highlights their passion for market-fresh ingredients and an enjoyable atmosphere. Their menu features a selection of Asian fusion dishes including ramen, udon and rice bowls, which are all made in-house by their team. With some of the most delicious combinations of ingredients, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
  • They open at 11:30 am Mondays through Saturdays, and noon on Sundays.
