The Kelowna Aquajets had 94 represent the club at the first swim meet of the season held in Penticton over the weekend and came out on top to win the meet.
The Triple Pentathlon as its so named, as the swimmers do 15 events in 3 days.
Brynn Hall, Noella Quadri, Juliet Nicholson, Gabe Widing, Avery Deis, Nomi Edwards, Tim Novitski, Grace Paoletich, Darwyn Kormany, William Campbell, Max Parmar and Maura Guidi all swam to 100% best times.
Swimmers just shy of 100% best times were Kaylee Buckmaster, Jackson Bartlett, Kira Clark, Ethan Gray, Kiana Johnson, Kyla Johnson, Ruby Kehler, Courtney Pequin, Tobias Allot, Mitchell Bamford, Brock Campbell, Reese Gwillim, Finn Kirk, Kapri Pike, Keaton Semashkewich, Liam Shannon, Hannah Scuka, Aomsin Nimsombun, Mila Wall, Anna Kulina, Tuja Dreyer, Amilia-Ahn Lou and Joshua Yoon.
Swimming to the podium were Aiden Kirk, Pierson Piche, Kelsey Fillion, Erin Epp, Kassua Dreyer, Liam Collie, Rachel McInnis, Lucy Hill, Anna Kulina, Liam Chew Sawyer Nabozniak, Scott Watson, Kodi Wiman, Abigail Jerome, Meagan Corrigan, Paul Neupert and Emilie Golinowski.
Those swimmers who placed top three overall for the weekend were Liam Chew (2nd 10 & under boys), Aiden Kirk (1st 11-12 boys who also set 2 new club records in the 100 IM and 200 back), Liam Collie (2nd 13-14 boys), Kassua Dreyer (2nd 13-14 girls), Anna Kulina (3rd 13-14 girls), Erin Epp (1st 15&over girls) and Kelsey Fillion (2nd 15&over girls).
Those who swam to new Provincial qualifying times were Emilie Golinowski, Liam Chew, Sawyer Nabozniak, Scott Watson, Noella Quadri and Dakota Wiman
Big time drops were had by Avery Deis, Emilie Golinowski, Tim Movitski, Grace Paoletich, Max Parmar, Daniil Savelev, Kassua Dreyer, Pierson Piche, Brock Campbell, Reese Gwillim, Darwyn Kormany, Sophia Tomm, Juliet Nicholson, Jillian Rabinovitch, Cameron Yakimchuk, Jackson Bartlett, Kira Clark, Enrica Guidi, Maura Guidi, Byrnn Hall, Kiana Johnson, Kyla Johnson, Ruby Kehler, Maya McLaren, Jordan Meyer and Sam Pringle.
KAJ also had 46 of the Junior Jets participate in the Fall Jamboree in Penticton.
