Now in its third year, the GonzoOkanagan.com Music Industry Golf Tournament & Festival is bigger and better than ever.
Gonzo Okanagan was created 18 years ago as a newspaper that focused on all things entertainment.
Over the years, CEO Brad Krauza has expanded Gonzo to include events. He has personally worked on a number of golf tournaments and numerous fundraisers.
But this year is his most audacious, as the GonzoOkanagan.com Music Industry Golf Tournament & Festival brought to you by Cleaning Angels teed off on Saturday morning.
The day is jam-packed and it starts with golfers teeing off shotgun style while local musicians serenade the attendees at every hole.
The funds raised from the tournament goes towards MusiCounts and the local non-profit organization, Gonzo Fundraising Association.
MusiCounts helps raise money to go towards children's music programs, helping put musical instruments in the hands of the younger generation whereas Gonzo Fundraising Association focuses on the development of local artists.
Musicians will take over the main stage, just in front of the clubhouse from noon until 10:30 pm.
Artists include The Washboard Union, Chris Buck, Raquel Cole, Cod Gone Wild, Roger Gabriel, Dirt Road Opera and Scotty Berg.
