Organizers are busy chopping kindling and stacking logs as Fireside Festival prepares to return for its sixth year.
While there will be no actual campfires, this year’s edition of the festival will add a little extra flare for attendees.
“The expansion of BNA has allowed us to grow our talent budget and bring in some amazing acts from across B.C. like Moontricks, Little Destroyer and Shred Kelly,” says organizer Aaron DeSilva.
“There will also be live painting, tarot card readings, a magician and a henna tattoo artist to go along with nearly 12 hours of live music featuring plenty of Kelowna based talent as well.”
Organizers have been holding on to one more surprise as well, to celebrate the festival BNA will release its brand new Fireside Ale just in time for the weekend's festivities.
According to BNA’s brewers, the beer is a smoked maple red ale that’s delightfully malty and subtly sweet with a beautiful deep red colour.
“The fact that BNA has created a beer inspired by Fireside is such a huge compliment and their ability to capture the vibe of the festival in the brew is pretty impressive,” says DeSilva.
From its humble beginnings as a house concert, Fireside Festival has managed to expand into a full weekend that includes an acoustic series on Saturday afternoon at the Bean Scene on Bernard Avenue, along with a kick off party Saturday night and the Sunday main event at BNA.
