The body found in Kalamalka Lake on Sunday has now been identified, but RCMP have confirmed that they’re looking for the man who was with him.

RCMP identified Shane Letkeman, a 32-year-old Lethbridge man, as the man found in the Cosens Bay area of Kalamalka Lake. After an autopsy, Letkeman’s death was determined as not suspicious in nature. The investigation is being turned over to the BC Coroner’s Service.

During the investigation, RCMP found that Letkeman was last known to be with Curtis Wilson, who has been reported missing by his family. A vehicle associated with Wilson, a black Chrysler 200 car with an Alberta licence plate, was found in the area Letkeman’s body was found. This car has been seized as part of the investigation.

Now, RCMP are searching the Kalamalka Lake area for Wilson with ground, water, and air resources.

Wilson also lived in Lethbridge, Alberta. He’s described as a 23-year-old Caucasian male with dark brown hair. Wilson is six feet tall, 160 pounds, and clean shaven. He has two distinctive star tattoos on either side of his chest as well as more tattoos on his arms and chest. The 23-year-old was last seen in hightop red sneakers, silvery coloured shorts, a black t-shirt, and a red baseball cap.

If you have any information that could help to find Wilson, police ask that you call Vernon RCMP at 250-545-7171 or CrimeStoppers immediately.
