When you’re single, the thought of another Valentine’s Day alone doesn’t sound too appealing. Here are a few survival tips from our matchmaker team.
Surround yourself with positive people. Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to leave you thinking about the fact you’re single and that you can’t find that great guy or gal. Take the day to think about what you want so you can work on attracting that perfect person.
Plan a pot-luck get together at your place. Talk about the positive things in your life and what you want to attract in a perfect match. You never know, one of your friends might know someone and make a gentle introduction.
Get outside and enjoy the day. There is nothing better than fresh air, a bit of exercise and good company to turn negative thinking into positive.
Spend money on yourself. Buy that gadget you’ve been eyeing since before Christmas, buy a new outfit that makes you feel like a million bucks, or treat yourself to a relaxing massage. Be your own Valentine and declare it a “Me Day”.
We all have at least one hobby we never seem to have time for. Read that book you bought months ago, go for a run or workout, clean the garage or relax watching a good movie. Whatever makes you happy, this is your day to do whatever YOU want without having to check with or coordinate with someone. This can be your day to simply do nothing at all.
