A marine rescue unfolded on Okanagan Lake Friday night.
West Kelowna RCMP was alerted in the evening about a catamaran that had capsized near Greta Ranch in Peachland.
According to police, the overturned vessel was around 300 yards from shore and the male operator was unaccounted for.
Multiple agencies responded to the area, including the West Kelowna RCMP and its zodiac boat, Penticton Fire Services (PFS) and BC Ambulance.
When the RCMP boat arrived at the catamaran, the operator was found clinging onto the vessel, exhausted but uninjured.
The man was brought to shore by RCMP, then transferred by PFS to a waiting ambulance where he was medically assessed.
Police said on Saturday that the capsized catamaran was still in the water and last seen off shore by Greta Ranch, but no further updates have been provided about the status of the boat.
