An annual tradition in Summerland is just around the corner.
The 31st annual Summerland Festival of Lights will happen on Friday, Nov. 30, treating people to an evening of festive fun and, of course, a wonderful display of Christmas lights.
The holiday event regularly attracts more than 8,000 guests, only a couple thousand shy of the town’s entire population, and it’s no secret why.
Along with the lights, there will be entertainment courtesy of COD GONE WILD, Nicole Sumerlyn and Hillside Outlaws.
Mr. and Mrs. Claus will also be on hand for photo opportunities and you’ll want to get shots of the interactive ice sculptures created live during the evening.
The always popular Rodeo Bull will be on hand as well and for the first time this year there’ll be a family fun zone at Memorial Park.
Memorial Park is also where the giant holiday tree will be lit up at 7 p.m., as will the downtown streets of Summerland to create a magical display.
As always, the night will end with a fantastic fireworks display, presented by Summerland Credit Union.
