For those of you who love wine and the holiday season, you won’t want to miss out on Summerland’s 9th annual “Light Up The Vines” event.

Hosted by the Summerland Bottleneck Drive Association, the free event welcomes attendees to sip and savour their way through the festively decorated vineyards of the drive.

The event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 30 and Sunday, Dec.1, from 3 pm until 8 pm and will highlight the delicious creations from 18 wineries and three cideries as well as one brewery and a distillery!

Visitors can also look forward to live music, twinkling lights, the opportunity to cross some items off their holiday shopping list, and even some complimentary snacks.

“Our local tasting rooms look forward to ‘Light Up the Vines’ every year. Everyone has fun decorating and getting ready to kick-off the Christmas season,” said Bottleneck Drive Association president, Rick Thrussell.

“It’s amazing how many guests travel from all over the Okanagan year after year to visit our vineyards, orchards and tasting rooms - all lit up for the holidays,” added Thrussell.

“We encourage everyone to taste responsibly and arrange a designated driver or book a tour company in advance.”
