Things to do in Penticton: May 3 to 5, 2019

Penticton Farmer’s and Community Market

This Saturday at 8:30 a.m. the Community Market will join forces with the already bustling downtown Farmer’s Market to bring the mammoth event to life once again.

Set to take up a large chunk of the downtown core, the event welcomes on and all to browse the 200+ vendor booths featuring everything from fresh produce to hand made jewellery, wine, clothing and more!

Annual rubber duck drop

Head to Gyro Park this Saturday at 11 a.m. to join in on the excitement of the 9th annual rubber duck drop.

For $5 you can have your pick of little yellow duck and try your chances of making it into one of the winning places to take home a grand prize. At noon sharp a literal truckload of rubber duckies will be dropped and the race will be on.

The family friendly event will also have various activities for kids such as face painting, fishing and more!

Mother’s Day gift making workshop

Calling all parents, grandparents and guardians, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday you and your little ones can spend the afternoon crafting the perfect gift for mothers day!

Hosted at Mondo Creation, the event welcomes parents and their kids to create a pampering gift set filled with all the essentials for a relaxing evening.

From bath salts to body oils, for $65 you will get all the supplies you need to forge a gift that mom will love.

Penticton Vaisakhi Parade

Take in a day of cultural excitement at the Penticton Sikh Temple from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as part of the annual Vaisakhi festivities.

The event is held to celebrate spring and the Sikh new year. Attendees can expect delicious cultural cuisine, live music, vibrant colours and more!

The parade kicks off at noon, so make sure to secure a great spot.
