14 BC flights added to province's COVID-19 exposure list

The BC Centre for Disease Control is warning residents over the latest batch of flights through the province affected by COVID-19.

According to the BCCDC, between Oct. 5 and 13, 14 flights had passengers test positive for the virus. Of the 14 trips, three were international and 11 were domestic.

On Oct. 5, Air Canada Flight 217 from Calgary to Vancouver had an exposure. The case was situated between rows 32 and 37.

The next day, two different WestJet flights had positive tests. Flight 3130 from Prince George to Vancouver had a case in rows two to eight while Flight 3324 from Vancouver to Kelowna had an infected person between rows three and nine.

Just one carrier was identified on Oct. 8. Air Canada flight 127 from Toronto to Vancouver saw its case in rows 36 to 42.

The next four exposures were identified on Oct. 10. Air Canada Flight 305 from Montreal to Vancouver, Air Canada Flight 306 from Vancouver to Montreal, Air Canada/Jazz Flight 8261 from Vancouver to Nanaimo and WestJet Flight 131 from Calgary to Vancouver had cases in various rows.

Oct. 11 had just one reported case. Air Canada flight 861 from London to Vancouver saw its individual between rows 20 and 26.

On Oct. 12 four more Air Canada flights had exposures. Flight 7 from Vancouver to Seoul, Flight 184 from Vancouver to Toronto, Flight 251 from Edmonton to Vancouver and Flight 861 from London to Vancouver had a plethora of cases.

The final reported incident came on Air Canada Flight 123 from Vancouver to Toronto on Oct. 13. The positive test was located between rows 31 and 36.
