Vancouver Police have another sexual assault on their hands, again near the University of BC campus.
Shortly after 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, a 30-year-old woman was jogging on West 16th Avenue near Discovery Street when she was attacked from behind. The attacker threw her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. The woman managed to scream and fight the man off, he fled the scene.
According to police, she received some minor injuries and was extremely distraught and shaken following the assault. Officers scoured the area with a police service dog in the hopes of locating the man, but were unable to do so.

Investigators will continue their efforts to identify the attacker and will be in the area throughout the day on Thursday looking for evidence and canvasing the neighbourhood for witnesses.
The last sex assault that took place near the campus occurred on March 18th near the Totem Park Residence at UBC. One man was arrested in connection to the incident.
