A landslide north of Pemberton has prompted an evacuation order for a few homes in the Birken region.
The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District issued the evacuation order on Sunday evening for the homes along Portage Road.
The order specifically includes homes from 9270 to 9290, which according to the map appears to be about five homes.
Portage road is also currently closed north of Gates Lake. It is expected that it could take at least 24 hours to re-open the road.
An evacuation order has also been issued for homes along the Cresta and Spider Creek Roads. The properties in this region were evacuated Sunday evening and residents are now being supported by the Seton Lake Indian Band.
Meanwhile, an evacuation alert has been issued for properties downstream of the Whitecap Bridge, due to debris build up behind the bridge and the risk of flooding.
The Highline and Mission Mountain Roads remain closed at this time, cutting off access to the communities in that region.
Late on Sunday evening, the provincial government issued a flood warning for the Sea-to-Sky highway, include the Lillooet River and surrounding streams, as well as the Squamish River.
