The West Shore RCMP released a statement Tuesday morning informing the public that one of its officers died while on duty.
The officer was involved in an early morning car crash in Langford, where a truck t-boned the police cruiser.
RCMP are not releasing the name of the officer at this time, and the fatal crash continues to be investigated by RCMP and BC Coroners Service. Condolences poured in for the West Shore RCMP as well as the officers family on social media Tuesday morning.
