More tickets are being made available for the HSBC Canada Sevens rugby tournament.
The annual tournament, which is part of the World Rugby Sevens Series, makes 10 stops over the course of the season.
The Vancouver stop was added last and saw incredible success and it carried over to this year’s tickets sales, which sold out.
This year the tournament drops by BC Place on the weekend of March 11th and 12th.
“The fans here are clearly embracing the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series with open arms,” said HSBC Canada Sevens CEO, Bill Cooper. “And we know the larger crowd in 2017 will bring even more energy and spirit to the stands of BC Place, contributing to a world class environment for players and fans alike.”
The larger crowd Cooper is referring to is the 9,000 tickets that will become available on Saturday, January 28th at 10 a.m.
“We strongly encourage fans who haven’t yet purchased to act fast and get their tickets as once this new inventory is gone the event will be sold out,” Cooper added.
The event’s organizing committee also announced a few amendments to operational procedures along with the extra tickets.
Gates will now open 60 minutes prior to kickoff of the day’s first match.
More concessions will be open, with the addition of breakfast items and coffee.
In and out privileges will be extended to 3 p.m. on each day of the tournament, since the tickets are full day passes and not specific to just one match.
Full weekend tickets for the tournament are available for $99 with single day passes available for $55.
