The autistic Nanaimo boy has a special sensitivity to food, and getting him to eat can be difficult said his father in a Facebook post last weekend.
One of the only things Everett will currently eat is the limited edition sci-fi-themed mac and cheese, which prompted his father to put out an appeal via social media.
The appeal even caught the attention of actor William Shatner, who tweeted to help the cause.
@kraftfoods can you possibly help?👇🏻 Even if you still have just the shaped macaroni they can use current product for cheese sauce. https://t.co/4ScDn9Rpe1

In a great example of that trademark Canadian kindness, people really took the story to heart.
Superstores in Richmond and Coquitlam shipped the boxes to the Nanaimo store when they heard about Everett's request.
On top of that, Kraft Canada has promised 144 more boxes for the family.
Father Reed Botwright says people reached out from across the country, and even overseas.
“We can’t say it enough how much we appreciate that they’ve pooled their resources and searched through their connections to get us what Everett wants to eat,” he said.
