Whether it's a multi-million-dollar lakefront modern mansion, affordable apartment or condominium, savvy renovation or innovative feature, the finalists for the 2024 Okanagan Housing Awards are the latest and greatest in residential building.
"The finalists in the Okanagan Housing Awards represent symbols of innovation and dedication within the housing industry," said Krista Paine of Ian Paine Construction & Design, which is also a multiple finalist.
"Being named a finalist in these prestigious awards signifies not only a moment of recognition, but a validation of the team's commitment, quality, and passion for success of the industry. Being a judge for numerous other award associations, I am pleased to see our awards continue to solidify the Okanagan's position as industry leaders in Canada."
For the 2024 awards, Carrington Homes leads the race with eight finalist nods and Align West Homes, Frame Custom Homes, Millenial Developments, Hannah Katey Interior Design and Isabey Design each have five finalist positions.
"The Okanagan Housing Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the hard work home builders and their trades have put in over the last year to deliver some of the most beautiful new homes in Canada," said Daniel Winer, executive officer of the Central Okanagan branch of the Canadian Home Builders' Association, the group that puts the awards on.
"Building homes is one of the largest economic drivers in our community. These awards showcase the diversity of new construction projects we are seeing."

There were a record-breaking number of entries in 40 categories resulting in the most diverse number of companies making the finalists list.
All this despite the fact that residential construction, like all industries, this year faced labour shortages, material shortages, inflation driving up costs and interest rate hikes.
"Builders across Canada are working their way through one of the most challenging building seasons of the last several years," said Kevin Lee, CEO of the Canadian Home Builders' Association.
"The Okanagan Housing Awards recognize not only beautiful projects, but the resiliency of the residential construction industry as a whole. They are wonderfully representative of the variety of homes we have in Canada, particularly the implementation of leading construction techniques for greater energy efficiency."
Winners will be announced at the Okanagan Housing Awards gala on Saturday, March 2 at the Delta Grand hotel.
