Tired of waiting and paying for a travel visa?
If so, Brazil may be the place to go.
South America’s largest country has just waived visa requirements for Canadians, as well as for residents of USA, Australia and Japan.
The changes come into effect as of June 18, 2019, as Brazil tries to boost tourism.
While the Canadian government does recommend travelers to Brazil exercise a “high degree of caution” due to high crime and gang-related violence, the country is a tourism hot spot.
Brazil temporarily lifted tourist visa requirements during the 2016 Rio Olympics and the country’s president has called the new regulations “one of the most important achievements of the Brazilian tourism industry in the last 15 years.”
