Come on Kelowna, let’s get sickening!

Get ready for another year of death drops, fan thorps and lip-sync performances to gag over, because Kelowna’s Noir is back on Saturday, Jan. 26!

Dubbed as the city’s “gay event for the straight community,” by organizer Nathan Flavel, Noir is a one-evening-only, inclusive event featuring some of drag’s biggest stars, talented local queens, and stunning decor.

And it is all in support of a more than worthy cause — the Kelowna General Hospital.

We brought in event co-organizers Nathan Flavel and Rudy Tomazic to tell us more about what attendees can expect, why they chose to support the KGH, how Kelowna has embraced the event, and more!

In 2017, the event enlisted the talents of Ru Paul Drag Race star, Derrick Barry, to sissy the runway with three dazzling performances, all the while managing to raise $6,000 for the KGH’s JoAnna’s House campaign.

This year, the event is going above and beyond. Not only will Barry make her return but the beloved Cher impersonator, Chad Michaels, and Lady Gaga impersonator, Judas Joe Manson, are also set to perform.

Perhaps one of the most exciting aspects of the after dark, pop up party is the mystery behind it. Ticket holders are only given the party’s location the day of the event, and are only allowed access if they are following the strict dress code of wearing all black.

The best part? Everyone is invited! Whether you are a member of the LGBTQ+ community, simply don’t want to miss out on seeing these legendary queens live, or feel strongly about supporting our local hospital, the event is open to all who are over 19 years of age.

Tickets start at $65 per person and include a complimentary beverage, and snack. However, if you want to truly live it up, VIP tickets are available and offer you the chance to meet the queens, snap a few photos along with extra perks.

Tickets are on sale now and available through Kelowna Tickets.
