West Kelowna RCMP found themselves chasing a suspect Wednesday afternoon after he failed to stop for officers a number of times.
A 37-year-old man was the target of an attempted stop by West Kelowna RCMP as he is a prohibited driver. Instead of stopping for police, the man fled to a home in the 1000 block of Caledonia Way. In the interest of public safety, police obtained an arrest warrant for the man and along with members of the South East District Emergency Response Team, they entered the home.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident and faces potential charges of dangerous operation of a vehicle, and driving while prohibited. The man is currently in custody and will appear in court on Thursday.
