Angelo Zol's trophy case is going to be full of BCHL awards.
On Thursday, he won the Michael Garteig Trophy as the BCHL's Top Goaltender and he followed that up with the Vern Dye Memorial Trophy as league MVP today.

The Kelowna native had a spectacular season for the West Kelowna Warriors and led the league in almost every statistical goaltending category.
No other netminder bested his six shutouts, .925 save percentage or 1.98 goals against average, while his 27 wins were second most in the BCHL.
Finishing runner up in wins is thanks in part to his goaltending partner Bor Glavič securing 13 wins of his own for West Kelowna.
The pair already won this year’s Wally Forslund Memorial Trophy for manning the crease for the team that finished with the lowest goals-against average in the league.
But the Vern Dye Memorial Trophy and Michael Garteig Trophy are all Zol’s and he’s the first Warriors to ever receive either award.
West Kelowna Warriors G Angelo Zol has been named the 2025-26 winner of the Vern Dye Memorial Trophy as the league's Most Valuable Player.

It’s been quite the journey to this point for the 20-year-old Zol, who first played for the Warriors as an affiliate player during the 2021-22 season.
The Okanagan Rockets product struggled in 21 games played for the Warriors in 2022-23, then played in the AJHL and SJHL during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 season.
After putting up stellar numbers for the Weyburn Red Wings in the SJHL, Zol got a second chance with his hometown club and certainly made the most of it.
As of now, Zol is committed to joining the University of Toronto Varsity Blues in USports for the 2026-27 season.
