After 10 days of closure, the Ashcroft Hospital and Health Centre will reopen. The hospital was closed July 7th due to wildfire activity in the area.
Beginning Tuesday, July 18th, regular services will resume during the hospital’s regular hours: Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Starting Friday, July 21st, the emergency department will be open on weekends from Friday at 6:00 p.m. until Monday at 8:00 a.m.
Interior Health advises that residents call 9-1-1 should they require urgent care outside of the hospital hours. There is also the option to visit the following facilities in the case of an emergency:
Displaced residential care clients of Jackson House will be returning July 18th, after spending nearly a week evacuated in Merritt. Assisted living clients from Thompson View Lodge are also expected to return to the facility on July 18th.
