The Thompson Nicola Regional District is hosting an information meeting for evacuees displaced by the Elephant Hill wildfire Monday night in Kamloops.
The meeting will get underway at 6 p.m. at the Sagebrush Theatre, with doors opening at 5 p.m.
Representatives from the TNRD, BC Wildfire, the RCMP, Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, Interior Health, Emergency Management BC and the Red Cross will be on hand to provide updates and answer questions from residents.
The Elephant Hill wildfire has impacted a number of communities in the TNRD, currently requiring evacuation orders in Loon Lake, Clinton, 70 Mile house, South Green Lake and surrounding areas.
The TNRD’s interactive evacuation map shows current orders and alerts throughout the regional district.
