As cycling is becoming a more recognized form of commuting in Kelowna, the City is starting to make space on the roads for cyclists.
Last year, the City painted more lines and sectioned off more lanes for cyclists.
Still, the relationship between motorists and cyclists is a growing pain in the valley.
Landon Bradshaw is the vice-president for the Kelowna Area Cycling Coalition.
KelownaNow headed out with Bradshaw to talk cycling etiquette and tips on how to make yourself visible.
To recap Bradshaw's main points for cyclists, stay visible by:
*Ride with your light on during the day.
*Move out from the curb and into the centre of your lane.
*Resist the urge to dip and out of parked cars.
*Use proper hand signaling well in advance of your turn.
