The Kelowna Rockets will be without forward Liam Kindree for the foreseeable future.
On Thursday, the team announced Kindree underwent successful surgery to repair a broken collarbone suffered over the weekend.
Kindree was injured with 7:11 remaining in the second period on Saturday when Kamloops Blazers forward Ryley Appelt delivered a hit in front of the Blazers bench.
The 19-year-old has eight goals and eight assists in 33 games for the Rockets this season.
Injuries have decimated the Rockets, who will have to endure a road trip to America to take on the Everett Silvertips and the Portland Winterhawks this weekend.
Nolan Foote, Kyle Topping, Kaedan Korczak and Sean Comrie will all be out of the lineup all weekend, while Mark Liwiski, Trevor Wong and Roman Basran are also unlikely to play due to injuries.
