It’s going to be a very exciting 2025-26 season for the Kelowna Rockets.
Not only is the club shaping up to be a competitor in the WHL ahead of hosting the Memorial Cup next spring, it’s also a milestone year for the franchise.
It’s the club’s 30th anniversary of their move to Kelowna, which happened ahead of the 1995 season after spending four years in Tacoma, Washington.

This morning, the club revealed its 30th anniversary season branding, which is highlighted by the return of the team’s classic throwback logo and jerseys. It also includes the unveiling of a commemorative anniversary mark.
The logo and jerseys will certainly be familiar to older Rockets fans, as it’s what the team wore in Tacoma and first few years in Kelowna before the move from Memorial Arena to Prospera Place.
Younger fans may also remember the logo and jerseys from the 2015-16 season, as the team wore throwback uniforms that year to mark the 25th anniversary of the expansion Rockets in Tacoma.

“Throughout the year, team branding will prominently feature the logo, long associated with the franchise's formative seasons,” explained a media release from the Rockets.
Kelowna’s anniversary campaign will utilize the slogan, “Fueled by Legacy,” which the club says is a reflection of the organization’s history of player development, community connection and championship pursuit.
A special video was released today marking the launch of the campaign, carrying the message: “30 Years. 1 Mission.”

“The 30th anniversary season marks not only a celebration of the franchise’s past but also the beginning of the road to the 2026 Memorial Cup, which Kelowna will host next spring,” the media release added.
“With the tournament returning to Kelowna for the first time since 2004, the Rockets’ anniversary season carries added significance both on and off the ice.”
Training camp and preseason games are coming in the weeks ahead, but the massive 2025-26 campaign will officially get underway against the Spokane Chiefs at Prospera Place on Sept. 19.
