Cougars just wanting to hear the final buzzer late in the 3rd
Jackson Whistle did most of his work in the first including taking away a breakaway by going after the puck
Rockets got off to a slow start in the first as has been all to common this year. The Cougars were working hard and the Rockets were not getting the bounces. The first goal came off a combination of miscues by the Rockets D. Marc McNulty took advantage of the mistakes and put the puck past Jackson Whistle.

Rockets started to come on in the second putting pressure on the Cougars but Jordan Tkatch would get one more past Whistle before the Rockets offense would hit the ignition key.

Riley Stadel would start things off at the 16 minute mark of the second with his 9th of the year on the powerplay. Kelowna outshot PG 19 to 5 in the second. Score after 2 was 2-1 but now it was only a matter of time.
The 3rd period was all Rockets, with Tyson Baillie scoring the tying goal off the faceoff. The only goal that Ty Edmonds would want to have back. Colton Heffly would tip a Damon Severson wrist shot to get the game winner. Minutes later Nick Merkley would add some insurance and then Ryan Olsen made sure PG was done with his 5th of the year.
Final numbers in the game, Rocket win 5-2, outshoot Cougars 51 to 28, 9 powerplays in the game, 5 for Kelowna and the only goal on the man advantage was off the stick of Stadel who is now the top scoring defenseman in the WHL with 9.
