The Western Hockey League has named Kelowna Rockets' forward Rourke Chartier as Denny's WHL Player of the Week.
In the last three games, Chartier had four goals and four assists with a +6 rating, helping the Rockets to three straight wins. On Wednesday, November 5, Chartier scored and had two assists to help the Rockets beat the Victoria Royals 5-1. He scored twice (one being the game-winning goal) on Friday and named the game's 2nd Star for a 4-2 win over the Spokane Chiefs. On Saturday, Chartier scored once again for a seventh straight game, and he also had two assists in the 5-0 shutout over the Vancouver Giants. This gave him his third three-point effort in four games.

This 18-year-old from Saskatoon is in his third WHL season for the Rockets, and he's currently leading all WHL players with 18 goals in 18 games. He was selected in the first round and 15th overall in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. During 148 career regular games, Chartier has had 55 goals and 120 points.
In the 2014 NHL Draft, Chartier was chosen in the fifth round, 149th overall, by the San Jose Sharks.
