A Canadian Olympian is using a rather unusual way to pick out a name for her baby.

Meaghan Mikkelson has played seven years with the National Women’s Hockey Team, and she won gold at both the Vancouver and Sochi Olympics. With these accomplishments for Canada behind her, Mikkelson is now asking for something from Canadians: a baby name.

She put the call out on Tuesday, asking Canada to tweet her names for her baby boy using the hashtag #NameMyBaby. You can follow her at @Mikkelson12, and she’s accepting baby boy names from June 30th through to July 5th.

After that, eight names from the submissions will enter a playoff-style bracket, and fans can vote in real time to decide on what names go to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and then the final two. Every name-versus-name showdown will be posted on the date that voting opens, and all you need to do is favourite or retweet to cast a ballot.

Mikkelson’s baby is due on September 25th, and she’ll be making a live announcement on that day of the name of her baby boy from the final two.

This Canadian hockey player has also won four silver medals at the 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2013 IIHF Women’s World Championships and hopes to go back to Team Canada in 2016 to win gold at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang.

This baby will have hockey in his blood, as Mikkelson’s husband Scott Reid was a goaltender in the American Hockey League, East Coast Hockey League, Central Hockey League, and UK Elite League.
