Canadian women, including Kelowna's Taylor Ruck, continued to add to our country's medal count at the Summer Olympics in Rio on Wednesday night. Ruck, Katerine Savard, Brittany Maclean, and Penny Oleksiak earned Canada another bronze medal as they came from behind to place third in the women's 4x200 freestyle relay. Another successful swim for Canada!
The Canadians have now medalled in six events, all of which have been won by women, and most of which have been won in the pool. Way to go ladies!
Kelowna's Kierra Smith will compete for yet another medal in a women's swimming event Thursday. Also notable was the performance of Canada's Santo Condorelli, who placed fourth in the men's 100-metres freestyle on Wednesday, finishing just 3/100ths of a second short of the bronze medal podium.
