Had to stop and just take a breather this evening on a small beach access near the hospital. Life gets so crazy sometimes and I forget how lucky I am to be alive and to have such beauty and beautiful people around me. I met guy there who had just walked over from the hospital to see the sunset. We got to chatting and he told me about how his mother had worked in the trenches in Germany during World War II and how she walked as a refugee through 7 countries to board a boat with her young family to get to Canada. He spoke of how he admired her so much. He told me about how he fell from 60 ft on a construction site decades ago and despite the fact that he lives with pain, he's thankful for every day that he has. We only chatted for about 20 minutes, but I learned a lot about this complete stranger. We even share the same birthday. Anyway.. we both tried to find the best angle for our pictures and this is what I got. #kelowna #kelownaliving #kelownanow #lakeokanagan #explorekelowna #explorebc follow @positivisteve for positivity ... and for Steve.
