Based on data from the weather station at UBCO, January 2020 had an average daytime high only half a degree above seasonal at 1.3C, and an average overnight low of -4.6C.
As for precipitation, the Kelowna airport weather station recorded only 23.9mm of total rainfall and water equivalent of snowfall last month, significantly less than the seasonal amount of 31.0mm for the month of January.
Although the first day February will be very mild with daytime highs well above freezing, cooler air will move in starting Sunday and bring our afternoon temperatures back down near freezing.
