Winds up to 110 km/hr expected on parts of Vancouver Island tomorrow

Strong winds will develop tomorrow morning in the northern and western parts of the Island.

Environment Canada has issued a warning as strong winds are expected to hit parts of Vancouver Island.

Winds will pick up starting on Thursday morning for the northern parts of the island, and midday for the west.

Winds of up to 80 km/h gusting to 100 are expected for places such as Tofino, Long Beach, Ucluelet.

Coastal sections in the north and the southern region of the Central Coast will see 90km/hr winds gusting to 110.

Environment Canada said that the strong southeast winds may cause damage, and are expected to last into Thursday night.
