You probably know it for delicious all-you-can-eat waffles, scrumptious jams, and creative eggs bennie, but soon The Jammery is going to have a new claim to fame.
The Jammery, one of Kelowna’s favourite brunch places, was filmed for the Food Network’s “You Gotta Eat Here” in October. Now that all the on-the-scene work is done, the episode featuring this yummy eatery is airing soon: April 10th, to be exact.

“You Gotta Eat Here” says that “there’s more than jam to The Jammery, there’s also some zany takes on all-day breakfast”. The season 4 episode will also feature food from two Montreal restaurants: sandwiches at Shut Up And Eat and the all-chocolate menu at Montreal’s Cacao 70.
The Food Network crew spent two days in The Jammery, one in the kitchens and the second milling about with customers. Some loyal customers of The Jammery even got to be interviewed by the show’s host, John Catucci. Three dishes in total will be featured on the show: Breakfast Paella, Bacon Cheeseburger Benny, and All You Can Eat Waffles.

But how did The Jammery come to the show’s attention? Apparently one of the producers had eaten there, and owner Bill Morrison had a call out of the blue in June asking if “You Gotta Eat Here” could feature the restaurant. The show is shown in 50 countries around the world, and Morrison is excited about the ramifications for The Jammery. “It will get our exposure out there far and wide,” said Morrison. “It is nice to be recognized for the hard work and the creativity we put into our food.”
The Jammery isn’t the first Okanagan restaurant to be featured. Both Burger 55 in Penticton and Kekuli Café in West Kelowna have been on “You Gotta Eat Here”, with each place experiencing large increases in customers after the segments aired. The Kekuli Café also made the cut for the show’s recent cookbook for their Buffalo Stew and Berry Bannock Pudding.

The Jammery is located between the airport and Winfield on Highway 97, and you can always check it out to see what all the buzz is about…or just remind yourself of what you already knew with some all-you-can-eat waffles.
