It’s the perfect beach companion and patio drink - it’s Rosé season and there are lots of options in Penticton to choose from.
To get you started, here are some Penticton born Rosé wines that will quench your thirst for summer.
To the patio!
#winewednesday Drink #Rosé to transition into #fall! Our 2016 Rosé just won a gold medal in the 2017 BC Wine Awards @okwinefests! This is a dry and complex rosé, we sourced the wine-making technique from St. Tropez. The fruit was picked and immediately pressed under dry ice to capture the full aromatic profile and to retain the crisp freshness. Flavours and aromas of red berries, mild spice and rose petals, finishes with a distinctive streak of resin from very focused skin contact. It is almost sold out, hurry! Purchase online at www.bench1775.com or at our wineshop! . . . #winelover #okanganlifestyle #naramata #lakeview #penticton #bcwine #okanagan #okanaganwineries #wineryrestaurant #okanaganrestaurants #winery #winerytour #naramatabench #naramatabenchwineries #bcwines #explorebc #bench1775 #bench1775winery
Bench 1775 recommends pairing this one with “a big sun hat and oversized celeb sunglasses.” It also pairs with shellfish, light fish, cold pasta, sharp cheeses, and tarragon-accented food.
Their 2016 Glow Rosé won a gold medal at the 2017 Okanagan Wine Festivals BC Wine Awards, and a silver at the 2017 National Wine Awards of Canada
Monster Vineyards Rosé 2016 has brought home a gold medal from the Okanagan Life Magazine BC Wine Awards and a silver medal from the Pacific Rim Wine Competition. This monster has done us proud! . . . . . #wineawards #bcwineawards #bcwine #wine #rose #naramatabench #visitpenticton #winetasting #okanagan #okanaganwine
This Rosé has some serious pink power. With vibrant aromas of juicy cherries and dried cranberries, and bright watermelon in colour, this one tastes just as good as it looks.
Pairs perfectly with a summer patio!
Hillside’s 2017 Rosé is a new release. With bright aromas of wildflowers and field berries and red cherry and raspberry on the palate, this wine has a juicy finish fit for warm summer eves.
Pair it with cheese, a nice charcuterie board, or smoked salmon.
A blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, and Zinfandel, this Rosé has aromas of ripe red berries. “Delicate flavours of fresh Okanagan cherries/strawberries mingle on your palate, delicious through to the last drop,” the wine specs conclude.
This one is a blend of Pinot Noir and Barbera. Enjoy the aromas of raspberry, pink grapefruit, and lemon-lime, with a hint of spice. Makes a great pairing with a grilled cheese, or roasted turkey. A double gold winner in the Pacific Northwest Wine Awards 2017, as well as a host of other awards, this one is a must-try this summer.
