What do you always find yourself saying?
Stress-less and enjoy the ride as you never know what’s around the corner.

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select and why?
Julia Roberts - I’ve always admired her for being true to herself.

If you were to receive any existing public award, what award would you like to win?
Hmmm… I’m not sure.

If you could spend a day with any historical figure, who would you choose and why?
Ghandi because he was one of the greatest people who ever lived, trying to instill peace and harmony in others.

Who inspires you?
My mother inspires me every day. She taught me to be strong, compassionate, and connected with everything in my life.

What are three things on your bucket list?
Travel to as many countries as I can, ride on an elephant, and skydive.

If you had an enormous yacht, what would you name it?
Anne

If you could foresee a single day of your future in its entirety, what date would you select?
None. I don’t want to know what my future has in store for me.

What are you passionate about?
Helping clients achieve a sense of balance in their life. It’s a struggle for many to achieve their goals, whether it be personal (physical, mental or spiritual) or work (stress) related. Stress is a major contributor of disease. I am passionate about helping people find a sense of calmness and peace with whatever struggles they are going through.

What has been your favourite day of your life, up to this point?
The day my children were born.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Besides being a Mother, establishing a successful practice as a compassionate Natural Health Practitioner.

Where is your favourite place to dine in Kelowna? What do you like about it?
Dawett’s hands down ~ wonderful food, atmosphere, and service!

What is your favourite activity or event in Kelowna? Why?
Hiking Knox Mountain or walking the Mission Creek Greenway. Both are breathtakingly beautiful!

Inner Balance Wellness Studio

What does your business/organization do?
I am a Certified Natural Health/Holistic Practitioner, Massage Practitioner, Spa Practitioner, Reflexologist, Aroma Therapist, Iridologist, and Energy Worker. I love to help bring people back to a sense of balance, or homeostasis. Connecting mind, body and spirit is so important these days as we are all stretching our limits, trying to juggle work, family and personal time for ourselves. I specialize in Reflexology, Holistic Massage (deep tissue, Swedish, lymphatic, shiatsu, relaxation, aromatherapy, and hot stone), Energy/Chakra work, and Wellness foot care/pedicures and soon, Reiki Sessions.

What is your mission?
To help clients achieve a successful balance in all aspects of their life through the holistic services I offer.

If you could achieve one thing within your field, what would it be?
To always be continually learning and upgrading my skills to achieve my goals of helping others become grounded. Success comes in many forms ~ love, happiness, work, family, self-awareness, and balance.

Where do you want your business/organization to be in five years?
I love Kelowna, and I would like to grow my business to a comfortable pace where I still have the time to really connect with my clients and take the time for each and every one of them. I love being able to have that relationship where people don’t feel like they are being shuffled out the door for the next person to arrive at my practice. I am truly passionate about my job and feel a great sense of connection with everyone who comes to see me, whatever their situation.

Who do you consider to be a forerunner within your field?
Eunice Ingham ~ Eunice is known as the pioneer of modern reflexology. In her 40 years of experience treating many thousands of people, Eunice devised a system of techniques which enable the practitioner to contact the reflexes in the most effective way.

What three qualities do you feel that your business/organization exemplifies?
A great sense of connection and compassion with clients, plus outstanding customer service.

What would you like to say to your employees/volunteers?
I am the only person at my business so I would have to say, “Keep following your dreams!”

How does your business/organization impact the community?
I think our community responds greatly to a more Holistic approach to Wellness. I believe we can all grow from each experience, and I have great success with clients who are looking for something more in their lives to become balanced. The holistic community is very supportive of each other, and I feel my business is a great new addition to this wonderful city!

If you were trapped in an elevator with several wealthy investors from any field, which field would you want them to be experts in? What would say to them/talk about?
I would choose someone in Holistic/Spiritual Wellness, Real Estate and Marketing. I would ask for any tips on their success and downfalls.

If I could change one thing about Kelowna, it would be:
Absolutely nothing ~ Kelowna is a wonderful place to live, work and play (okay, maybe no snow at all!)

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
The networking community in Kelowna is outstanding. I have met so many lovely people here who are very supportive of my business. Of course the great weather, food and wine, and fantastic local entrepreneurs are why Kelowna is BC’s most desirable city!

My choice for the Kelowna In Focus spotlight is:
